Home runs and scoring in college baseball dropped precipitously after the N.C.A.A. reduced the pop in aluminum bats in 2011. And the ball doesn’t carry at TD Ameritrade Park, which opened the same year the new bats were introduced, as it did at Rosenblatt Stadium, the old site.
